  • Loosen and remove oil filler cap (a) from the crankcase top on the RH side.
  • Use an adjustable plier with soft jaws to unscrew filler cap if necessary.

  • Place a tray under the engine, loosen and remove magnetic drain plug (M14) (a) along with washer (b) from the front end of the oil sump.
  • Allow the engine oil to drain out completely from the engine.

WARNING DO NOT spill oil. Collect used oil in a separate container and dispose it through authorized disposal agencies in your locality. Avoid skin OR body contact with the oil. Promptly wash affected area with soap and water.

NOTE

  • Ensure the engine oil is drained completely.
  • Tilt the motorcycle on both LH and RH sides to drain the oil completely.
  • After draining the oil suitably cover the oil filler cap hole to prevent debris and/OR small components falling into the crankcase.

Oil Filter

  • Place a tray under the engine oil filter.
  • Loosen and remove oil filter (a) located on front bottom of engine (b) using special tool.

Starter Motor

CAUTION Ensure battery cables are disconnected.

Ensure that the ignition and kill switch are in OFF position.

  • Lift the rubber cover slowly, loosen and remove Hex nut (M6) (a) from starter motor (b) and disconnect positive (+) terminal.

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex flange head mounting bolts (M5) (a) holding starter motor (b) to crankcase (c).
  • Remove negative (-ve) cable from the mounting bolt.

  • Gently pull out and lift starter motor (a) from engine.

NOTE

  • Do not tap on the starter motor while removing it. Tapping may damage the internal components.

    WARNING The engine and exhaust system get extremely hot during normal operation and direct contact with skin can cause serious burns. Make sure engine is in normal temperature (OR) cooled before starting operation.

    Release the clamp (a) to disconnect breather hose (b) from air filter box (c). Release the clamp (a) to disconnect breather hose (b) from breather box (c). Remove breather hose (a).
