Engine / Components Removal from Engine / Breather Hose Connections

  • Release the clamp (a) to disconnect breather hose (b) from air filter box (c).

Components Removal from Engine

  • Release the clamp (a) to disconnect breather hose (b) from breather box (c).

Components Removal from Engine

  • Remove breather hose (a).

Breather Box

  • Loosen and remove the 5 Nos. Hex flange head bolts (M6) (a).

  • Gently remove breather box cover (a) along with gasket (b).

Gear Shift Linkage

  • Loosen Hex flange bolt (M6) (a) to remove gear shift lever (b) from gear shaft.

Throttle Body Covers on LH and RH

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex socket button head screws (M5) (a) on the throttle body cover (b) RH.
  • Repeat the above process to remove cover LH.

Throttle Cable

  • Disconnect throttle cables from throttle body.

    Loosen and remove oil filler cap (a) from the crankcase top on the RH side. Use an adjustable plier with soft jaws to unscrew filler cap if necessary. Place a tray under the engine, loosen and remove magnetic drain plug (M14) (a) along with washer (b) from the front end of the oil sump. Allow the engine oil to drain out completely from the engine.

    Injector, Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor and Idle Speed Controller (ISC) Connections Ensure ignition and stop switch are in OFF position. Disconnect throttle position sensor connector (a) from LH throttle body (b). Gently press connector lock to disconnect fuel injector connectors (a) from LH and RH of throttle body (b). Disconnect idle speed control sensor (ISC) connector (a) from throttle body (b).
