Engine / Engine Removal from Main Frame / Magneto/Gear Position/Side Stand

Magneto/Gear Position/Side Stand Switch Couplers Connections

  • Disconnect the gear position sensor (a) located on rear side of engine (b).

Engine Removal From Main Frame

  • Disconnect magneto sensor connector (a) located on rear side of engine (b).

Engine Removal From Main Frame

  • Disconnect side stand switch connector (a) located on rear bottom of engine (b).
  • Disconnect crank position sensor connector (c).

Engine Removal From Main Frame

Starter Motor Connection

  • Loosen and remove Hex nut (M6) (a) from starter motor (b) to disconnect positive (+) terminal.

Engine Removal From Main Frame

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex flange head bolt (M6) (a) to disconnect starter motor (b) negative (-) terminal.

Spark Plug Suppressor Caps on LH

  • Gently pull out/disconnect spark plug suppressor cap (a) from LH cylinder spark plug (b).

Engine Removal From Main Frame

  • Gently pull out/disconnect spark plug suppressor cap (a) from RH cylinder spark plug (b).

Breather Hose Connection

(From Breather Box to Air Filter Box)

  • Release the clamp (a) to disconnect breather hose (b) from air filter box (c).

Engine Removal From Main Frame

  • Release clamp (a) to remove hose from breather box (b).

Gear Shift Linkage

  • Loosen Hex bolt (M6) (a) to remove gear lever (b) from gear shaft.

FD Sprocket Cover

  • Loosen and remove 3 Nos. Hex socket head screws (M6) (a) from FD sprocket cover (b) on the LH side of engine, in the order shown (1, 2 & 3).

Engine Removal From Main Frame

  • Gently pull out FD sprocket cover (a).

Rear Wheel (Increasing chain slack)

  • Loosen rear wheel axle nut (M16) (a) to increase the chain slackness/tension.

  • Loosen chain adjuster lock nut (M8) (a) on LH and RH.

Engine Removal From Main Frame

Remove Rear Chain from FD Sprocket

  • Gently remove chain (a) from FD sprocket (b).

Engine Removal From Main Frame

Gear Position Indicator Sensor

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex flange head bolts (M6) (a).

Engine Removal From Main Frame

  • Remove gear position sensor (a) along with the bracket (b).

    Gently lift the fuel tank upwards to access the fuel pump connector. Disconnect the fuel pump connector (a) from fuel tank (b). Disconnect fuel level sensor connector (a) from fuel tank (b).

    Cradle Frame Top Mountings from Main Frame Support engine/cradle frame with scissor jack (a) so that it will not fall off when mounting bolts are removed. Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex socket head bolts (M10) (a) on LH and RH holding cradle frame top (b) on main frame (c).
