Engine / Engine Assembly to Frame / Engine Cylinder Head Steady Bracket

  • Locate the steady brackets (a) into LH and RH frames (b).

Engine Assembly to Frame

  • Locate and tighten 4 Nos. Hex bolts (M8) (a) on brackets (b) holding main frame to torque.

Engine Assembly to Frame

  • Insert Hex socket bolt (M10) (a) from LH steady bracket into RH steady bracket (b).
  • Hold LH Hex socket bolt with suitable tool.

Engine Assembly to Frame

  • Assemble washer and Hex nut (M10) (a) from RH and tighten nut to specified torque.

Engine Assembly to Frame

Main Frame to Engine Mounting Bolts

  • Tighten lower rear crankcase mounting nut (a) to specified torque.

Engine Assembly to Frame

  • Tighten upper rear crankcase mounting nut (a) to specified torque.

Engine Assembly to Frame

  • Remove support from bottom of engine after ensuring all mounting fasteners to cradle frame and mainframe are correctly torqued to specifications.

Gear Position Indicator Sensor

  • Connect gear position sensor (a) to connector (b) located behind engine.

Engine Assembly to Frame

Rear Chain to FD sprocket

  • Loosen rear wheel mountings and chain adjusters and push rear wheel into swing arm to increase chain slack.
  • Position rear chain over FD sprocket teeth properly.
  • Assemble chain (a) on FD sprocket (b).

Engine Assembly to Frame

  • Adjust rear chain tension to specification: 30 mm to 40 mm

Engine Assembly to Frame

  • Tighten rear wheel axle nut.

FD Sprocket Cover

  • Assemble FD sprocket cover (a) on crankcase LH.
  • Locate 3 Nos. Hex socket head bolts (M6) (b) on FD sprocket cover and tighten in a crisscross pattern to specified torque.

Engine Assembly to Frame

Gear Shift Linkage

  • Assemble gear shift lever (a) on shaft at an angle such that it is parallel to foot rest.
  • Locate Hex bolt (M6) (b) on gear lever and tighten to specified torque.

    WARNING DO NOT tighten bolts during initial installation. Support engine suitably and firmly on a work table and ensure it is stable. Locate cradle frame RH (a) on engine RH side (b). Align mounting holes (a) of cradle frame with mounting holes on engine. Insert Hex head bolt long (M10) (a) with washer (c) into mounting holes on cradle frame RH top (b). DO NOT TIGHTEN FULLY. Insert Hex head bolt small (M10) (a) into mounting holes on cradle frame RH (b) bottom. Assemble washer and nut (c) on bolt. DO NOT TIGHTEN FULLY.

    Breather Hose Connection to Breather Box to Air Filter Insert the shorter end of hose (b) on the tube in breather box (c). Position the clip (a) on hose correctly. Locate the other end of hose (b) on the tube in air filter box (c) and position the clip (a) over the breather hose correctly.
