CAUTION Ensure the motorcycle is upright on a firm and flat surface.

  • Locate a scissor jack (a) under the cradle frame (b) and lift motorcycle such that the front wheel is off the ground.

Dismantling

Footrests LH and RH - Rider

  • Straighten and remove split pin (a) from clevis pin bottom on rider footrest RH (b).

  • Gently pull out clevis pin (a) from footrest housing top, duly supporting footrest (b).

CAUTION Spring is loaded. Support footrest while removing/reassembly.

  • Remove footrest with spring (a) from the housing (b).

Footrest Bracket RH - Rider

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex socket head screws (M6) (a) from Heel guard RH (b).

Footrests/Stands/Saree Guard

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex socket head screws (M6) (b) holding master cylinder (a) on footrest bracket.

Footrests/Stands/Saree Guard

  • Support master cylinder carefully and release brake pedal spring (a) from footrest bracket (b).

Footrests/Stands/Saree Guard

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex socket head screws (M8) (a) holding footrest bracket to frame, support footrest bracket suitably to loosen brake pedal mounting.

  • Loosen and remove Hex socket bolt (M8) (a) from inner side of bracket and remove brake pedal.

Footrest Bracket LH - Rider

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex socket head screws (M6) (a) from heel guard LH (b).

Footrests/Stands/Saree Guard

  • Loosen and remove 2 Nos. Hex socket head screws (M8) (a) on footrest bracket (b).

Footrests/Stands/Saree Guard

Footrests LH and RH - Pillion

  • Straighten and remove split pin (a) fixed into clevis pin bottom.

Footrests/Stands/Saree Guard

  • Gently pull out clevis pin (a) from footrest housing top, duly supporting footrest (b).

Footrests/Stands/Saree Guard

CAUTION Ball and spring are loaded. Support footrest while removing/reassembly.

  • Remove footrest (a) from mounting bracket (b) carefully along with ball (c) and spring (d).

    Support pillion footrest bracket (a), loosen and remove Hex nyloc nut (M8) (b) from inner side of frame.
